Introducing our new RSA180 Fixed Rafter Square, the smaller brother to the RSA300.
Available in metric and imperial versions (see RSA7 Fixed) the RSA180 Fixed is arguably the top of its class when it comes to design, build quality, usability and style.
The RSA180 is engineered from European T6 aluminium plate for durability, and machined on our state-of-the-art CNC vertical machining centre for absolute precision.
We developed the RSA180 for tough conditions. This tool is at home on site to be used every hour of the day. To be sure the RSA range of squares can withstand regular use over a period of years we designed some clever features into it;
To ensure the precision of the angle marks we CNC engraved these at the same time as profiling the tool body. This guarantees the angle marks are true and as they're deep engraved they won't rub off!
The ruler gauges are laser marked inside shallow recessed pockets that prevent them coming into contact with workpieces when laid flat. The white marks are clearly visible on the anti-glare blue anodised surface making outside reading easy. The anodised surface also helps prevent corrosion and extend tool life.
The fence has a handy spirit level calibrated to the top and bottom visible from all four sides.
There are pencil scribe notches throughout the length of the tool that relate to many common timber sizes. These also include thirds for marking rafter cuts.
The scales include: Degree scale on hypotenuse edge
Rafter length per metre of run
175mm rule
Hip/valley rafter scale
Common rafter scale
Scribe notches and thirds
